"administrative professional" role. Individuals may join VAAP or companies may join on behalf of all of
their administrative professional employees.
Members of VAAP are committed to best practices as administrative
professionals.
Members are
dedicated to continuous learning to maintain and
improve their administrative professional job performance and manage their
careers.
VISION and MISSION:
VAAP is committed to providing its members with
top-notch, practical and relevant educational resources and advice for job
performance and career management specific to administrative professionals.
It is dedicated to promoting continuous learning for admins for both the
benefit of individual administrative professionals and their employers. Its
resources provide advice, tips, and news for administrative
professionals -- all virtual so admins can continuously learn without leaving their
desks.
EXPERIENCED LEADERSHIP:
Founded and operated by Karen Porter, The Administrative Professional Job
Performance and Career Success Coach™ and Founder and President of
The Effective Admin™ and the Virtual Association for
Administrative Professionals. Porter has been assisting administrative assistants, executive
assistants, secretaries and all administrative
professionals of all job titles and admin levels since 2004. She has over 24
years experience interacting with the 'real' workplace and working
administrative professionals -- including holding former admin pro level
positions (and higher levels) at multiple different employers. She has a
Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida and the
distinction of being a member of Kappa Tau Alpha -- the "college honor
society that recognizes academic excellence and promotes scholarship in
journalism and mass communication." This added expertise of professional
writer and communicator enables her to relay job performance and career
success concepts clearly to administrative professionals and their
supervisors.
VIRTUAL ACCESS:
VAAP is labeled virtual because with the
exception of any introductory membership packet material or bonus products
